I love Scotland! But for a very different reason. I love the paranormal and spend every moment possible out investigating. My husband is very understanding and funds these investigations and equipment without complaint. He has chauffeured me across many states and when I feel comfortable traveling will be my companion as we head to Scotland and Ireland to visit hopefully haunted castles.
love this! i'm also guilty of looking at castle (or at least tower) listings, and fantasize about restoring one to its former glory. i lived in scotland years ago, and they just seem such a natural part of the landscape there. (funny, i'm posting scottish castle pics today!)
What a coincidence! And yes, they do seem natural to the landscape in Scotland. I do love it there, especially away from the city. And the people are lovely.
My husband and I went on a marvelous 6 week trip to Scotland and visited Many castles, ruined and maintained, mostly in the highlands and the Isle of Skye. I would love to live in Scotland but not necessarily In a castle but I would happily help You fix one up for your princess👍🥶😉💰🏴🏴
Susan, you're one of our first dinner invitations if it happens. Bring your tool box! ;) Six weeks? How wonderful. We've been back to Isle of Skye several times, and will be there again I'm sure. Such a magical landscape.
Now I know I'm outmatched. Even when I make my case in writing, with no rebuttal opportunity offered to my wife, she comes out on top! Ha-ha. You can be sure you're on the guest list.

Your husband and I would have much to talk about. ;) Please document your discoveries, or even the search. Would make a wonderful blog to follow.

I love the thought of living in a castle. But I’d have to have the money to really fix it up, wiring and heat would be a must.
I'm with you, Donna. Preferably something new built within a ruins maybe.
I suddenly want to become best friends with your wife.... 🏰👸🏼💖

No yeah, I’m definitely team castle. Plus, gives us a place to host Lord Byron-esque ghost story contests for the summer 😍
